Imperial Hue

Located in the middle of Viet Nam, Hue Imperial citadel is a famous destination not only for Vietnamese people but also for foreign visitors. The imperial citadel was the former imperial capital of Vietnam where Living nearly Ngu Binh Mountain in the south and two sand dunes of The Con Hen and Con Da Vien on the Huong river had perfect geomancy. The Imperial Citadel includes three main areas that are Hue Capital Citadel, Royal Citadel or Imperial City, and Forbidden Citadel. Firstly, Kinh Thanh Hue or Hue Capital Citadel was completed in 1832 under the reign of Emperor Minh Mang. The Citadel is almost 10 kilometers in circumference with 10 entrances. Secondly, Hoang Thanh or Royal Citadel or Imperial City is located in the center of the Citadel where the highest offices of Vietnam’s feudalism and sanctums honor the cult of deceased Emperors. The Citadel has nearly 2.5 kilometers in circumference with 4 entrances. Finally, Tu Cam Thanh, or Forbidden Citadel located inside the Imperial City was used for the Emperor and his family. The Forbidden Citadel has more than 1.2 kilometers in circumference with 7 gates for entrance and exit.
